Florida jury awarded $243 million in damages related to a 2019 fatal crash involving Tesla’s Autopilot software, which is significantly higher than the $60 million settlement offer Tesla had previously rejected. The company plans to appeal. Claims Journal reported that Tesla had turned down that settlement before the verdict was issued, according to Reuters.
